The Chelsea Community
Chelsea, Michigan is a small, attractive city conveniently located between Jackson and Ann Arbor. This historic community offers plenty of shopping, dining, entertainment, local activities and educational programs for all ages. A variety of high quality medical services are also offered including nationally recognized Chelsea Community Hospital. We're also very proud of the fact that our community library, McKune Memorial Library, was named Best Small Library in America by Library Journal in January 2008.
Chelsea also offers several recreational opportunities. Spend an afternoon at a nearby golf course, Pierce Lake or Reddeman Farms. Visit one of our city parks, Timber Town or Pierce Park, or venture out to one of the nearby recreation areas, such as Waterloo Recreation Area or Hudson Mills Metropark.
Chelsea is an active city with many community events occurring throughout the year such as Sounds & Sights on Thursday Nights, Chelsea Summer Fest, the Community Fair, Hometown Holiday, the Farmers Market, and various arts and crafts fairs.
There are many opportunities to become involved in the community through clubs, organizations, and local churches. Expand your horizons by taking a class through Community Services or Chelsea Center for the Arts. Chelsea is home to many excellent community facilities: Chelsea Community Hospital, the Health and Wellness Center, and the Chelsea library.
